The right people will have advanced experience across a wide variety of applications and hardware. Required Technologies

  • In depth knowledge and experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience with front­end build tools. E.g Gulp.js, Webpack, etc.
  • Working with template languages
  • Strong understanding of Git and Git based workflows

Responsibilities

  • Take technical ownership of front-end visual layer
  • Development of HTML/CSS wireframes and visual designs
  • Ability to balance design, technical and business constraints
  • Ability to solve cross browser and mobile issues
  • Collaborate with team members in an agile, fast paced environment
  • Lend advice and leadership to engineering team members
  • Provide recommendations and insight, while remaining positive, open and flexible

Qualifications

  • 2+ Years of relevant, agency experience working on web applications and websites
  • Passionate about remaining ahead of the technological curve
  • Experience developing and implementing responsive websites
  • Experience with React or other modern front­end view frameworks a plus
  • Understanding of web development user experience best practices
  • High degree of initiative and self­direction; must be detail-oriented and proactive
  • Ability to handle projects solo, but thoroughly enjoy collaborating with a partner or a team

Lead Web Developer

The Program is looking for a Lead Web Developer to join our Portland, Oregon agency. The right person will have advanced experience across a wide variety of applications and hardware. We build and maintain a wide range of projects, from global marketing campaign experiences to high volume applications for large multinational companies. Additionally, emerging technologies of all kinds are frequently in play.

Are you interested in exploring the best of modern web development? Are you endlessly curious yet able to strike a balance between new territory and well established best-practices in programming? Our goal at The Program is to be as technology agnostic as possible while every day honing our craft. If you have deep experience with Ruby, PHP, or Python, we want to know you. If you love JavaScript—warts and all—have opinions about SQL or NoSQL, OOP vs Functional programming—we welcome your enthusiasm and we’d love to talk to you.

Required Technologies

Responsibilities

  • Introduce bold styles that meet business objectives.
  • Ensure all design work is dialed before it goes out the door, deliver respectful and poignant feedback when needed.
  • Concept campaign-level experiences and see the work through from ideation to execution.
  • Be the design advocate on cross-functional project teams, adding artful enhancements to multi-channel campaigns.
  • Mentor and motivate design team members to do their best work.
  • Design strategically. Adapt your style to meet brand partner needs. Explain your approach to teammates and clients in presentations and reviews.

Qualifications

  • 6+ Years of design/art-direction experience
  • Senior-level creative agency experience leading heavy projects for big brands
