We are hiring an experienced strategist with a technical/web focus to join our team in Portland, Oregon. With your finger on the pulse of technology,  you have a deep understanding of the intersection between strategy and design. Best practices for usability and consumer research is second-nature for you, and you’re a data-lover with a knack for developing insights to better understand your users. Your proven track record is indisputable and you’re no stranger distilling technical concepts into a clear-cut strategy anyone can understand. 

Our Strategists are creative, critical thinkers who ground their ideas in research. You think big and execute small, no matter what the project roadmap looks like for any aren’t afraid to fight for the best approach to any UX, content strategy, and feature set need.


  • Collaborate and communicate effectively as a member of a project team, partnering heavily with technology, creative, and production.

  • Develop strategic concepts that are actionable and meet brand and business objectives.

  • Lead ideation and brainstorming sessions to help crystallize challenging goals into actionable solutions

  • Set specific objectives by digesting analytics and forming insights to build a strategic approach

  • Approach work using best practices to deliver quality, brand-defining experiences.

  • Collaborate with team members in an agile and fast-paced environment.

  • Provide recommendations and insight, while remaining positive, open, and flexible.

  • Be accountable and meet tight deadlines when necessary. Operate autonomously and always be proactive.Remain current on user experience and usability best practices.

  • Identify growth opportunities within The Program’s brand partners.

  • Listen, absorb, then give insight and direction.

  • Help the team see a clear path and move them forward.

  • Go deep with details, formulating comprehensive plans with KPI’s for measurement.

  • Communicate at a high level with all project stakeholders

  • Stay curious and pursue  learning new things while juggling multiple projects

  • Develop, implement and manage content strategies to align with business goals

  • Strong copywriting and customer service skills

  • Perform research on current benchmark web and social trends and audience preferences


  • 3+ Years of relevant strategy experience, with a deep understanding of how strategy impacts web experiences.

  • Strong knowledge of how data, usability, business objectives and more impact your strategies. 

  • General understanding of SEO, web analytics, content marketing, and performance marketing, and the social landscape.

  • General technical knowledge, you understand what it takes to launch new online platforms, programs, and experiences. 

  • Demonstrate teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate with our teams on a variety of projects.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment and seize the opportunity to make a difference.

  • Think big, execute small, do both quickly

  • Self-starter with proven interpersonal and communication skills.
