Web Developer

We are looking for a web developer to join our Portland, Oregon agency. The right person will have experience across a wide variety of front-end web technologies. Technological Requirements

  • In depth knowledge and experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript and Typescript

  • Experience with Contentful, Gatsby, Next.js, React, and other Javascript frameworks. 

  • Experience with front-­end build tools. e.g. Gulp.js, Webpack, etc.

  • Experience with templating languages e.g. twig, smarty, etc

  • Strong understanding of Git and Git workflows

  • Understanding of content modeling


  • Take technical ownership of front-­end visual layer

  • Assist in development of website wireframes and visual designs (from a technical perspective)

  • Ability to balance design, technical and business constraints

  • Ability to solve cross browser and mobile issues

  • Collaborate with team members, or role solo, in an agile, fast paced environment

  • Lend advice to and take direction from technical leadership and company leadership

  • Provide recommendations and insight, while remaining positive, open and flexible


  • 2+ Years of relevant, agency experience working with front-end web technologies

  • Passionate about remaining ahead of the technological curve

  • Experience developing and implementing mobile-first responsive websites start to finish

  • Understanding of web development user experience and ADA compliance best practices

  • High degree of initiative and self­ direction; must be detail­ oriented and proactive

  • Ability to handle projects solo, but thoroughly enjoy collaborating with a partner or a team

  • Experience with ecommerce tool such as Shopify a plus

  • Experience contributing to OSS projects or any community involvement a plus


While we’re open to remote, ideal candidates will be either located in Portland, Oregon to join us in the studio a few days per week, or Austin, Texas (also open to broader Texas). We’re flexible here for the right candidates. Salary is competitive based on experience. The Program provides a competitive benefit package that includes paid holidays, vacation/personal time, 401k matching and health, dental, and vision insurance. Relocation package available if applicable.
